    Position Title: Leasing Agent
    Reports to: Property Manager
    Summary of Position:
    The leasing agent’s primary objective is to demonstrate, feature and lease apartment homes to prospective
    residents. Primary duties include interviewing prospective residents and record information to ascertain needs
    and qualifications. Accompany prospects to apartment homes; discusses size and layout of rooms; and
    discuss available facilities, such as swimming pool, jacuzzi, location of schools, retail shopping, and services
    available to residents and terms and conditions of the lease contract. Assists prospects in completing an
    application for rental, preparing lease forms and other necessary paperwork, and collecting the rental deposit,
    application fee, and screen prospect. Secondary duties may include inspecting the condition of premises,
    arranging for necessary maintenance, and compiling listings of available rental property.
    General Duties & Responsibilities:
     Ensure at all times an adequate supply of leasing aids and forms.
     Use the telephone professionally and effectively for leasing.
     Greet, show, and lease to qualified prospects.
     Collect security deposits and application fees from the prospects following the company policy of NO
    CASH.
     Fully comprehend and be able to explain every paragraph of the lease contract.
     Verify all new move-in packets following company standards.
     Thoroughly understand the daily, weekly, and monthly leasing traffic reports.
     Coordinate move-in dates with the Community Manager
     Thoroughly understand and abide by all Fair Housing Laws.
     Achieve and maintain an average closing ratio of 50% or better.
     Maintain a working relationship with a referral agency, including businesses and merchants.
     Physically shop competitive properties and know the current rental rates of the competition.
     Assist with all resident activities and communication.
     Meet with new residents to ensure satisfaction in their new apartment homes. To assist in obtaining
    renewal of expiring leases within the specific time as directed by the on-site pre-determined settings.
     It is the responsibility of the Leasing Agent always to maintain the quality appearance of the leasing
    center.
     Other duties as assigned
    Job Qualifications:
     1 – 2 years of clerical or sales experience
     Proficiency with Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
     Property Management Software experience a plus.
     Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
     Ability to handle multiple high-priority tasks
     Comfortable interacting with a variety of individuals and entities in varied situations
     Exceptional organizational skills and time management

    Job Requirements:
     High school diploma or equivalent
     Must be trustworthy and dependable
     Ability to lift a minimum of 20lbs
     Ability to sit for long periods
     Ability to fluently speak and understand English, Spanish language a plus
     Report to work on time with a neat and professional appearance.
     Be courteous and pleasant to residents and associates at all times.
     Must be flexible and able to work alternate schedules as needed
